TWO MEN CHARGED WITH CONSPIRACY TO MURDER OVER ALLEGED MURDER PLOT
Two men have been charged by the Organised Crime Squad with the criminal offence of conspiracy to murder over an alleged murder plot that previously saw six individuals criminally charged.
Strike Force Barralier was established to investigate the alleged conspiracy to murder and the investigations are ongoing.
The alleged victim of the murder plot was 30-year-old man Andre Kallita and the plot was for him to be murdered outside a police station on Christmas Day in 2023.
Police allege the two recently charged men, Brandon Maseuli aged 28, and Marko Saric aged 25, were involved in preparing for the murder, including arranging cloned registration plates.
Strike Force detectives attended a correctional centre in Silverwater where they arrested the two men. The other six charged men also remain before the courts.
TWO MEN CHARGED WITH CONSPIRACY TO MURDER JOHN IBRAHIM
Youssef Zrayka and Siaosi Maeakafa Tupoulahi have been charged with the criminal offence of conspiracy to murder over a failed assassination plot against John Ibrahim.
Mr Zrayka is alleged to have been the getaway driver in the failed assassination attempt on Mr Ibrahim, whilst Mr Tupoulahi is alleged to have pointed a Glock pistol at a woman who was in the vehicle with her young child.
It is alleged that the woman’s car was mistaken for Mr Ibrahim’s car.
In addition to the criminal offence of conspiracy to murder, the two men were also charged with possession of a loaded firearm in a public place, and take and drive conveyance without consent of owner, among other charges.
Bail was not applied for and was refused for both defendants.
